Webpage of Dr. Stephen Flood
My name is Stephen Flood, an early career researcher/educator. I am currently working with the researchers in schools programme - more details to come.
Prior to this, I completed an EPSRC-funded research fellowship focusing on Chern-Simons votices in conjunction with Prof. Martin Speight at the University of Leeds. I studied for my PhD at Lancaster University in the mathematical physics group under Dr. David Burton - details of my studies can be found here. Generally, I enjoy applying a range of sophisticated mathematical techniques from areas such as operator theory, differential geometry and partial differential equations to physical situations such as classical electrodynamics, general relativity and quantum mechanics. This site is (obviously, I don't doubt) a work in progress. |
